There is certainly a divide, you tend to find the more traditional cricket fans would say they are all about test cricket and don’t really have an interest in the limited over game however if you speak to people who have got into the sport over the past 15 years, you will see a big increase in the shorter format fans and maybe there is a slight lack of understanding on how test cricket can be exciting or why the game goes on for so long?įor me, I’m a traditional fan so Test Cricket is my number 1 format before anything else however I very much see the other side of it.
